Construction Build

We will begin the construction process by laying out your pool shape on the ground.  This will be followed quickly by excavation and excess soil removal.  As the project progresses through this stage, your project site and access area will be a muddy mess.  Do not let this discourage you however.  Once the project is complete it will be hard to remember it was ever at this stage.

As soon as the excavation is complete, we will begin to install a grid of steel rebar to help add strength to the concrete pool shell.  Installing the proper amount of rebar will prevent any structural problems with the pool.  With the rebar in place, we will set any light fixtures and required plumbing equipment.

Next comes the gunite.  This is the process of "shooting" the concrete over the steel rebar to form the structures of the pool itself.  Once this is complete you ill begin to really see the project taking shape.

At this point we will begin digging trenches around the perimeter of the pool and to the equipment area.  These will contain all the plumbing pipes required for the water filtration system and water fixtures.

Once all the plumbing is run and the trenches backfilled, it is time for waterline, tile, and coping.  Your sales person will be able to help you select from the many options available for these elements.

Wit the coping and tile in place it is time to grade, form, and pour your pool decking.  You may select from basic exposed aggregate to natural stone decking finishes, but they all will begin with a concrete slab.  All of our concrete decking will contain steel rebar for added strength and expansion joins to help limit cracking.

The waterproofing interior pool finish is next.  Whether you choose traditional plaster or upgrade to diamond bright or Hydrazzo it is important to allow the water to fill the pool until it has reached half way up the waterline time.  This will ensure the finish cures properly.

At this point all of your pumping and filtration equipment will be set and your electrician will make the final hookups.  Once this step is complete, we will schedule a time to walk you through the operating procedures for your new pool.

Once final clean up is completed on your site all that is left is for you to go swimming!

This is a brief summary of the process of building a pool with Brewer's Pool & Landscaping.  Everything we do is very customized so the process may vary depending on the details of your specific project.  Please call our office with any questions or to get an appointment.
